Todd Shipyards was founded in 1916, which owned and operated shipyards on the West Coast of the United States, East Coast of the United States and the Gulf. Vigor has the right-sized shipyards, leading facilities, excellent intermodal connections, and expert workforces to build, repair, and modernize just about anything for sea or for land. Vigor Shipyards is the current entity operating the former Todd Shipyards after its acquisition in 2011. Across more than 180 acres of land, we operate more than 140 cranes including a 600 ton gantry traversing our oversized Portland buildway. Vigor offers multiple drydocks of various sizes, more than 17,000 feet of dedicated pier space, more than a million square feet of covered shop area and one of the largest CNC machining facilities on the West Coast. ![]() This acquisition creates opportunities to better serve key defense customers, economies of scale, expanded scope, and performance optimization.
